The Ice Blonde Hair Care Routine I Swear By

BY NICOLE ROYAL

If your hair inspo is Selena Gomez or Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, then you likely want platinum locks and you want them now. Sad reality: you probably aren’t a celeb or the Breaker of Chains, and thus, aren’t armed with a team of stylists to help you maintain your insanely high-maintenance ‘do.

My icy tresses, though flattering and on-trend, are a LOT of work. They require some pretty strict maintenance and TLC to keep their healthy feel! We’re talking upkeep every 5 weeks and a multi-step regimen every wash! Below are the top 4 products that I swear by to keep my hair happy and healthy and not totally fried.

  1. Purple Shampoo or Conditioner, or if you’re anal like me, BOTH.

The Purple shampoo I use is Joico Color Endure Violet. I follow this up with my two purple conditioners. Yes, two. I mix my R+Co Sunset Blvd Blonde Conditioner with Clairol Shimmer Lights Conditioner. I do this because the R+Co is better for giving my hair a soft feel, but the Shimmer Lights is better for removing brassiness.

2. Argan oil

I use Argan oil to help detangle my hair after the shower. Bleached hair can be very brittle and brittle hair tangles easily. Argan oil helps coat my hair, making it softer and more manageable.

  1. Biotin

Biotin is a vitamin that helps with skin, hair, and nails. It’s pretty much the “go-to” beauty vitamin and I swear by it. You can take up to 10,000 mg a day, and I promise you’ll notice a difference!

  1. The Wet Brush

This brush is a LIFESAVER. I like to brush my hair after the shower, and using this detangling brush is the only tool that makes it possible!
